Sunday Breakfast At SeWyCo VFD

  • 1st Sunday (October-April) 8AM-12:30
  • Full Menu: Pancakes, Eggs, French Toast, Creamed Beef, Omelets & Choice of Meat, along with a monthly special.

Annual Gem and Mineral Show

  • Over 2 dozen vendors from the surrounding area bring jewelry, lapidary supplies, and gemstones to sell to our unique event.
  • In our 44rd year!

Annual Golf Tournament / Outing

  • Every year, SVLC organizes a late summer golf outing.
  • In our 15th year.
  • Our 2013 Tournament will be at Silver Creek CC again

Blood Drive

  • Our club organizes 3 blood drives annually.
  • We coordinate the drives to coinside with our Gem Show, Community Days, and at our November Breakfast Events.
  • Please check our homepage for the latest drive information or email Lion Scott for details.

Community Events

  • We participate in Hellertown's Community Days each August, selling Sausage Sandwiches and organizing a blood drive.
  • We also participate in the local Halloween Parade, to show some community spirit and thank everyone for their support.

Lions White Cane Days

  • Twice a year you will see our members at a local store spreading the word of lionism.
  • We collect donations during these outings.
  • 100% of all monies collected go toward local, state or country Blind Related projected.
  • We thank everyone for their support!

Local Area Scholarships

  • Our club provides four $500 scholarships annually to local high school graduates.
  • We also provide one $500 Vocational scholarship to an area Northampton County VoTec student.

Used Eye Glass Collection Box

  • We collect used eyeglasses year round.
  • Your donated eyewear get cleaned, repaired and sorted by prescription.
  • Lions International then distributes the eyewear to individuals that can not otherwise afford them.
  • Our collection box is located outside of Advanced Optics, 834 Main Street Hellertown, Pa.
  • If you have any questions regarding eyeglass donations, please contact Lion Terry, who operates Advanced Optics, at 610-838-1000
